Arijino Artistry presents a Solo Exhibition by LaVonna Varnado Brown at Aquarium Gallery and Studios. Opening on June 8 from 6-10 join New Orleans based, Afro Futurist artist for an intentional installation of mixed media visual works entitled Be The Light Between Earth & Sky. In the spirit of gratitude, this body of work is a meditation on the divine feminine in all its forms. It is an invitation to perceive the frontier between land, sea, sky, and river as a natural altar.
ARTIST BIO:
Arijino Artistry is a creative practice sustained by the artistic work of LaVonna Varnado-Brown. She has developed her practice around intentional engagement to inspire action through imaginative expression. She earned a BA from Southeastern University Louisiana with a focus on theatre and liberal arts. After studying abroad in London and Paris in the summer of 2009, LaVonna has worked as an artist advocate, teaching artist, and tutor in New Orleans.
